Biblical Guidelines for today’s Housewife:

  1. She riseth also while it is yet night.
  2. She giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
  3. She looketh well to the ways of her household.
  4. She eateth not the bread of idleness.
  5. She bringeth her food from afar.
  6. She considereth a field, and buyeth it.
  7. With the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
  8. She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
  9. Strength and honor are her clothing.
  10. She maketh herself coverings of tapestry.
  11. Her clothing is silk and purple.
  12. She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
  13. She maketh fine linen, and selleth it.
  14. She delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
  15. She perceiveth that her merchandise is good.
  16. Her candle goeth not out by night.
  17. She stretcheth out her hand to the poor.
  18. She reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
  19. Give her the fruit of her hands.
  20. Her husband is known in the gates.
  21. He sitteth among the elders of the land.
  22. The heart of her husband doeth safely trust in her.
  23. He shall have no need of spoil.
  24. She will do him good and not evil all the days of his life.
  25. He praiseth her.
  26. Her children arise up and call her blessed.
  27. She openeth her mouth with wisdom.
  28. In her tongue is the law of kindness.
  29. She shall rejoice in time to come.
  30. Let her own works praise her in the gates.

~ She shall be praised ~

Who can find a virtuous woman?  For her price is far above rubies.  Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.  Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain.  But a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.
